Created For The Dogs Who Become Part Of The Family

Our story

KNYNE was created from a simple belief: the dogs we share our homes with deserve more than a place on our phones. They become part of the rhythm of everyday life — the welcome at the door, the quiet companionship, the chaos, the comfort, and the moments that shape a home in ways only dog owners really understand.

For me, KNYNE grew from that bond and from a growing awareness of how important it is to have photographs that don’t just sit on a screen, but live with us as part of our homes and our memories.

It Started With Oscar, And Changed With Bonnie

Bonnie is the second dog we’ve welcomed into our home. Before her, there was Oscar, who was a huge part of our life and our family. When Oscar passed away, I realised something that has stayed with me ever since: although I had memories I cherished, I didn’t have enough photographs of him that truly reflected who he was — and very few that I could hold onto as artwork in our home.

When Bonnie came into our lives, I wanted to do things differently. I made a conscious decision to create portraits of her that wouldn’t just live on a hard drive or a phone, but would have a place on the wall — something lasting that captured her personality and her place in our family.

I was already an avid photographer and had the equipment, so I began creating studio portraits of Bonnie at home. The more I photographed her, the more I realised how much I loved not just the images themselves, but what they represented. They felt like a way of celebrating her and the role she plays in our home every day.

That was the beginning of KNYNE.

Why KNYNE Exists

KNYNE exists to help dog owners create something lasting for the dogs they love most.

Not just photographs for a phone gallery, and not just a portrait session for the sake of it — but meaningful artwork that reflects a dog’s personality and their place in the home. The kind of piece that makes you smile every time you walk past it, because it feels true to them.

I know how much these images can matter, not just because I’m a photographer, but because I’ve felt the absence of not having enough of them — and the joy of getting it right the second time.

That’s why every KNYNE session is built around more than simply taking a good photograph. It’s about creating something worth seeing every day.

Dogs are family

The dogs we live with shape our homes, routines and memories in ways that deserve to be honoured.

The best photographs should be seen

Some of the most meaningful images end up buried on phones or hard drives. I believe the best ones deserve a place on the wall.

Great portraits begin with understanding

Every dog has a different personality. The best sessions come from patience, observation and allowing that personality to come through naturally.

What I Believe

What This Means For You

When you book a session with KNYNE, the goal isn’t simply to create a few nice photographs. It’s to create artwork that feels personal, honest and lasting — something that captures your dog’s character and gives them a place in your home that reflects what they mean to you.

From the first consultation to the finished artwork, every step is designed to be relaxed, thoughtful and centred on your dog.

Let’s Create Something Worth Seeing Every Day
